The Lion King, Jr.

Wooster Middle School theater department proudly presents Disney's "The Lion King, Jr.," with music and lyrics by Elton John and Tim Rice, additional music and lyrics by Lebo M, Mark Mancina, Jay Rifkin, and Hans Zimmer, book by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi, based on the Broadway production directed by Julie Taymor. The show is funny, beautiful, horrifying, and heartwarming. We watch Simba as he grows from a naughty cub who "Just Can't Wait To Be King," into a haunted adolescent with a terrible secret. Will his uncle Scar and the hyenas ruin the Pridelands forever? Will Simba finally face his past and honor his forbears? With glorious music, delightful dancing and antic comedy we will enchant you with the timeless tale of Simba, the Lion King.
