Class Notes - June 2019

Class of 1960

Bob Fenn '60 reached out to share his memories on April 16ths Don Quixote Day! "No words were more anticipated from John Verdery than 'Today is Don Quixote Day' when I attended the great Wooster School in the 1950s. Coach Warner and all of those who were avid fisherman would dig up worms and go fishing. Later, I would gather fresh water snails with Sam Fuller '60. That day was more special than words can express!"

Class of 1971

Allie Felder III '71 shared an update from Lake of the Woods, VA. After retiring in 2018 as a defense contractor for Northrop Grumman and Booz Allen Hamilton, Allie and his wife, Anne, are spending time traveling. They have 2 children ages 29 and 30. Prior to being a defense contractor, he served the United States Marine Corps for 25 years, obtained 3 masters degrees, and had 12 assignments in 4 countries.

Class of 1985

Brigadier General Bill Seely '85, USMC has recently been assigned as Commander, Task Force Iraq under the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR). In June, he will deploy to Iraq and travel around the region leading and advising his Task Force. The Task Force coordinates the efforts of the regional operations commands across the country as well as working alongside the Iraqi Security Forces in an advise and assist role at their military bases.

Helen Previdi '85 was a fellow runner, cheerleader, and tour guide in London as Claire Gladstone '85 ran her 75th marathon in April 2019.

Class of 1999

Lucas Cantor '99, an Emmy-award winning composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and conductor, shares his thoughts and point of view on the use of artificial intelligence as a new musical production tool in this May 26 segment of Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist.

Class of 2006

Tim Fitzsimons '06 is a New York City based reporter covering the LGBTQ news for NBC Out, the LGBTQ destination of NBC News. Tim is a recent Master of Arts graduate from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Previously, Tim worked as a Washington reporter for Marketplace radio and as a producer and reporter at NPR.

Class of 2010

Kiamesha Stewart '10 graduated from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree on May 17.

Jack Barrett '10 graduated from New York University of Medicine and will be heading to Los Angeles for his residency.

Class of 2011

Olivia Kinnear ' 11 graduated from Tulane Law School in May.
