2018-2019 Annual Report

A Message from Leon Weaver, President, Board of Trustees

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I'd like to thank the parents, Alumni, past parents, grandparents, faculty and staff as well as friends of Wooster School for their generous support of the 2018-2019 Annual Appeal and Gala.

Our Annual Appeal is our most important fundraising effort of the year. This fund helps to finance our operating budget and sustain other programs. It is crucial that all members of the Wooster community participate in this endeavor as it demonstrates a tangible commitment to the school.

I can report to you that the Annual Appeal campaign raised $502,259.36 and the Gala raised $248,352.78. In addition, other endowments and capital gifts totaled more than $27,922.24.

The annual Wooster School Gala was a sold out extravaganza and once again, the Gala committee did a tremendous job hosting the event in the Dining Room and Coburn Lawn to celebrate and connect with other community members. 55 committee volunteers led by the Parents' Association leadership - Jodi Felton, La’Shone Fullerton, Becky Carreras, and Erin Porter and from Wooster – Avery Costigan, Anne Gilson, and Lori Kriegel along with the Maintenance staff.

Tangible results of our giving, can be seen everywhere on campus including our outstanding programming, inspiring staff and renewed spaces including:

• Grover Student Commons
• Science Building upgrades
• Felton Learning Studio and Bridge Program
• Grover Math Labs
• New furniture to Verdery Learning Commons, Middle School and Grover Hall

It is tremendous work like this and with your continued help, we can create an extraordinary environment for our children. Thank you for your continued investment and commitment to the Wooster community.
